New Patients at Northiam Dental

We will be delighted to welcome you as a new patient at our dental practice in Northiam, East Sussex and will begin our journey together by understanding more about you, your history, and your concerns, while providing up-to-date information in every area of your dental health.

New Patients

Our initial examinations will last for 30 minutes to give us an opportunity to get to know you and your teeth, and for us to take x-rays before working with you to come up with a personalised treatment plan.

You dentist will carry out a thorough dental health and hygiene inspection of your whole mouth including checking your muscles, lymph glands, thyroid, and jaw joints, the inside lining of your mouth, your tongue, lips and throat, as well as identifying any signs of decay and wear of your teeth.

The information will help us put together an effective treatment plan tailored to your requirements to ensure you can enjoy a lifetime of good dental health.

New patient examinations cost £78. X-rays may be needed but are not included in this fee

To register at Northiam Dental and to book your new patient examination with us contact 01797 252727 or email mainstreet.northiam@nhs.net.

Ask about our interest-free and low interest finance options, which are available to help spread the cost of treatments over £1,000.

Nervous Patients

Nervous Patients

Statistics show that a large number of people who do not go to the dentist admit that they fail to do so because they are too afraid.

This a concern for us because poor dental health can be linked to heart disease, bacterial lung infections, diabetes and strokes, meaning regular visits are vital to maintaining good general health and wellbeing.

The good news is that with advances in dentistry we can approach your fears with a slightly modified approach to the care we provide.

If you feel nervous about any aspect of your visit to see us, be assured that our caring and understanding team members are trained to help make your visit as stress-free as possible.

Appointments at our practice near Rye are calm, unhurried and welcoming and you will find our chairside manner is excellent.

We want you to feel safe and confident, so call us for a chat before your first dental appointment and we will tell you more about our team and our approach.

Dental Emergencies

We will be here to help you in a dental emergency and will do all we can to ensure you can get an appointment quickly when you need it the most.

You should seek professional dental advice immediately if you’re suffering from severe oral pain that cannot be treated with over-the-counter medication, facial or oral swelling, bleeding from the mouth, especially following treatment, or if you have been involved in an accident or suffered an injury that may leave you with broken or missing teeth, or other serious damage.

The quickest way to contact us in an emergency is by telephone and we will be able to give you advice on what you need to do, and if you require an emergency appointment, we will be able to schedule this for you.

Children's Dentistry

Establishing a good oral health routine at an early age can be a huge benefit for your child’s general health and wellbeing.

It’s never too early for your child to learn how to care for their teeth, and at Northiam Dental we encourage very young children to attend with their parents and siblings so they become comfortable in the company of our family-friendly team.

By the time their first tooth shows, around the time of their first birthday, our dentists will already be familiar friendly faces and they’ll be calm and confident to take their place in the dentist’s chair.

Learning the correct habits can set the foundations for your child to enjoy a lifetime of having a healthy mouth, and as they grow and become more independent, they will also see our dental hygienist and learn about the most effective ways to look after their teeth and gums.

Our team of dentists are parents themselves and understand the challenges toothbrushing and healthy eating and drinking bring. They will do all they can to make your children’s dental appointments near Rye relaxed and fun to help ensure their teeth remain strong and healthy for years to come

To register your child as a patient call us on 01797 252727 or email mainstreet.northiam@nhs.net.

“We have had excellent dental care since transferring to this practice in 2014. Jo and her team are always extremely professional and caring. We have recommended Northiam Dental to other families in the past and will continue to do so.”
